BHP Billiton Distinguished Research Awards. Closing date: 29 September 2017.

The BHP Billiton Distinguished Research Awards provides support for research projects of one year duration. These awards are aimed at early and mid-career academics. A particular focus of these awards will be to support research initiatives that will expand and develop Business School researchers’ research collaborations both nationally and internationally. Up to four awards, to a maximum of $25,000 each, will be made each year.


BHP Billiton Research Awards.  Closing date: 29 September 2017.

Alongside the BHP Billiton Distinguished Research Awards, a smaller-scale award will be offered for smaller scale research projects of one year duration. Up to four awards to a maximum of $10,000 per project will be made.  These are aimed at junior researchers looking to develop research track records.

BHP Billiton Visiting Professor Program. Closing date: 6 October 2017.

The Visiting Professor Program provides an opportunity to bring international high profile researchers to the Business School to undertake research, collaborate with Business School academics and participate in public lectures, teaching programs and other profile-building activities. A total of $100,000 is available for each round of this scheme. At least four awards will be made each year. Each award will comprise up to $25,000 (smaller awards are encouraged, value for money being a consideration) which would cover travel, accommodation and expenses for the recipient.

Perron Best Publication Award in Responsible Management. Closing date: 29 September 2017.

The Business School’s “Perron Best Publication Award in Responsible Management” recognises research excellence in the area of responsible management, and is open to all academic staff members within the Business School.  The prize has been established for three years (2016-2018) and is awarded annually to staff for a scholarly publication appearing in the previous year.  The value of the prize is $2,500 payable into a nominated research account.  In exceptional circumstances, more than one prize may be awarded annually.

Business School Visiting Early Career Researcher Visitor Scheme.  Closing date: 13 October 2017.

The UWA Business School Early Career (ECR) Visitor Program provides an attractive opportunity to bring international junior researchers to the Business School to undertake research, and collaborate with Business School researchers.
