Academic assessment and results
- The Board of Examiners makes all decisions on examination results and reports them to the Registrar.
- The Appeals Committee hears appeals against academic assessment for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty.
The Business School has a number of boards and committees which look after the administration, management and development of the Faculty.
Boards
- The Faculty Board is responsible to the Faculty for the conduct of all Faculty business. (Please note: only staff on the UWA network can access the link).
- The Business School Board looks after the strategic development of the Faculty.
- The Boards of Studies advise the Faculty on matters relating to admission and management of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and MBA courses. There are three boards of studies:
- The Board of Higher Degrees by Research advises and makes recommendations to the Faculty and/or other University bodies or officers, as appropriate, on matters relating to postgraduate research, research training and supervision within the Faculty.
Committees
- The Education Committee advises the Dean and the Faculty on curriculum design and delivery; quality assurance issues; resourcing issues; and matters of referred to it by the Faculty. (Please note: only staff on the UWA network can access the link).
- The Research Committee advises the Dean and the Faculty on matters relating to research and research training. (Please note: only staff on the UWA network can access the link).
- The Ethics Committee considers applications for research to ensure that the proposed research is ethical.
- The Student Advisory Council provides an opportunity for students to discuss and explore solutions for issues pertaining to their studies and overall experience.
- The Planning, Budget and Resources Committee advises the Dean, and as appropriate the Faculty, on the Faculty budget in line with its strategic and academic plans.
- The Safety Committee is responsible for overseeing the School's Safety Management System.
