The Australia Korea Internship Program (AKIP) allows students to spend two months in Seoul working for either a multi-national or national Korean company.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available specifically for Business School students, for undergraduates, honours, and postgraduates - even if you are already enrolled!

These are subject to certain criteria, with more information available from the Scholarships office

BHP Billiton Scholarships

BHP Company LogoUp to twelve scholarships for Honours, Masters by Coursework and Postgraduate Research (Masters by Research or PhD) students at the UWA Business School are available each year, valued from $20,000 up to $153,000. 

BHP Billiton is a global resources company and a valued educational partner of the University of Western Australia Business School.

These prestigious scholarships are for candidates with an outstanding (distinction + average) academic record, for study in the area of economic, business or management issues relevant to the resource sector, which explore the direct operations of mining and resources management and/or their indirect effects on the wider community.

Mining Leaders Scholarship

Banner for mining leadership scholarshipEntrepreneurial?  Future Mining CEO?  If you've been waiting for the chance to demonstrate your leadership potential and extend on your experience in the mining industry, apply for the Mining Leaders Scholarship.

Two scholarships valued at $15,000 each are offered annually with the financial support of mining focused private equity company Resource Capital Funds and mining companies St Barbara, Ausenco and Trafigura Beheer BV.

Features include:

  • Two Scholarships valued at $15,000 each
  • Available to citizens and residents of Australia with interest and/or experience in the mining industry who wish to undertake full time postgraduate MBA studies or an Honours/Masters course in commerce or economics.  While the scholarship is open to undergraduate students, preference will be given to postgraduate applications with mining industry experience.
