Award winners are eligible for entry into the national award competition: Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Awards.

Is there a lecturer or tutor you think did a fantastic job this year?

Well, here is your chance to acknowledge that lecturer or tutor by nominating them for a Faculty Teaching award. The awards give due recognition and appreciation for excellence in teaching, and acknowledge the considerable time and effort many staff put into their teaching.

The Business School Teaching and Learning Committee has a range of awards that reflect the nature of our programs and the characteristics of the teaching, research and professional staff.

Award categories and nomination forms

You can nominate staff for the following award categories, which include the general categories of the Australia Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) awards (individual, program and citation) and are:

Nominations for the 2009 Faculty Teaching Awards have now closed. Nominations will re-open in May 2010.

Judging panel

Business School Faculty Teaching Award nominations are assessed by the following judging panel:

  • UWA Business School Associate Dean Teaching and Learning / Chair Teaching and Learning Committee
  • Student representatives: ECOMS President and postgraduate representative
  • Associate Dean Teaching and Learning or nominee from another Faculty
  • Faculty Instructional Designer
  • Two representatives from Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee
