The following instructions show you how to map to a network drive to gain access to a "home area" on our servers.

To begin the process of mapping a network drive, go to the desktop. Using the right mouse button, click on the My Computer or My Network Places icons. From the menu that appears choose Map Network Drive.
A dialog like the one below should appear. Note that this will appear slightly differently on different versions of Windows.
First choose the drive letter you want to use. Normally for your home area this will be U:.
Next, enter a path to the home area. You home area is \\kip\homes\username
If you want this drive to be automatically reconnected when you log into your computer, make sure the reconnect at logon box is ticked.
When you are happy with the entries click Finish.
You will now be able to access your home area on our server via the My Computer folder in the same way you will access your local hard drive on your computer.
