Ethics Committee

Further Information

Members

The Business School Ethics Committee considers applications for research to ensure that the proposed research is ethical. It is a sub-committee of the UWA Human Research Ethics Committee.

As a sub-committee it has been delegated the authority to grant ethics approval for research proposals:

(i) For which the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research does not require mandatory ethics review by the University's Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), and

(ii) That do not expose research participants to more than either 'Negligible Risk' or 'Low Risk'.

Review the "Human Research Ethics Sub-Committees (HRESCs) Information and Guidelines" (.RTF) document on the Research Services website for further information on the role of Business School Ethics Committee.
