Jimmy Wilson has extensive experience in the metals and mining industry.
He was appointed president of BHP Billiton's Stainless Steel Materials customer sector group in January 2007.
He was previously the president and chief operating officer of BHP Billiton's Nickel West asset group, where he successfully managed the integration of the former WMC Resources nickel assets into BHP Billiton.
His positions before this include president and chief operating officer of Samancor Chrome and general manager of Bayside Aluminium, as well as a number of operational roles, including working in the gold industry in South Africa for Anglo American.
Jimmy holds a BSc Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa and has been with BHP Billiton for more than 15 years.
