Professor Rammohan is based in the Economics Discipline at The University of Western Australia. Anu moved to UWA from the University of Sydney in 2009. The focus of her research has been on understanding the household-level socio-economic factors that can influence child nutritional and survival outcomes, gender and food security issues in South and South East Asia, particularly in India, Indonesia and Myanmar. Her recent research has focused on two central areas- (i) the analysis of intra-household distribution of health and education in developing countries, and its implications for the household’s children, women and the elderly, and (ii) food and nutritional security in rural areas of developing countries. This research has been published in top-tier international academic journals, and has also been funded by competitive research grants from the Australian Research Council, AusAID and the Australia-India Institute.
