Master of Marketing

Completing postgraduate studies in Marketing will place you at the interface between an organisation and its customers.

Marketing focuses on promoting and selling products and services by finding, communicating and sustaining the competitive advantage that makes a company truly successful.

Topics covered in Marketing include advertising, company strategy, competitive analysis, and value creation.

Marketing students at UWA have the opportunity to undertake projects for real-life organisations, and have previously worked with companies including Coles, Google, Microsoft, Rio Tinto, Tourism WA, Transperth, and Westpac.

Course structure

As a Master of Marketing student, you will complete between 12 and 16 units, depending on your prior studies.

Students who have not completed the Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty, may be required to complete relevant conversion units up to the value of four units, as advised by the Faculty:

Admission requirements

All students must meet UWA’s English language competency requirements.
To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following requirements:

Pathway One
  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent as recognised by UWA; and
  • Any one of the following:
    • The equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent; or
    • A valid Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of at least 550; or
    • At least five years of relevant documented professional experience considered by UWA to be sufficient to permit satisfactory completion of the course.

  • A Graduate Certificate in Business, or an equivalent accredited post-experience qualification, as recognised by UWA; with the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent.
