Course structure (MBA Full Time Intensive)

MBA Full Time Intensive students complete core units covering all the principle areas of business and an applied strategic consulting project. In addition, students complete three option units and can choose to complete a specialist focus area in leadership or finance.

Core Units (Choose all eight)

ACCT5602 Accounting
This unit develops students' ability to understand, interpret and use financial reports. It is structured to provide an understanding of accounting concepts, issues and problems rather than educating someone to take the role of a professional accountant.
MGMT5513 Data Driven Decision Making
This unit provides an understanding of the statistical tools and techniques available to managers.
MGMT5502 Strategic Analysis and Consulting Project
This unit aims to equip students with appropriate research skills to be able to analyse and develop possible solutions to a real-world business problem.

ECON5503 Economic Management and Strategy
This unit presents a critical set of principles and tools to assist managers to make informed decisions in an environment of economic risk and uncertainty.
FINA5530 Managerial Finance
This unit introduces the basic concepts in financial management. Topics include capital markets and sources of finance; financial mathematics; capital budgeting; diversification and portfolio theory; risk and return relationships; and working capital management.
MKTG5550 Marketing Principles
This unit studies the marketing function; marketing decision making and the marketing mix; forecasting demand; market segmentation and related behavioural issues; marketing strategies; product as a marketing variable; channel strategy; promotion budgeting and allocation, promotion and advertising strategies; pricing decisions; and evaluation and control of marketing management.

MGMT5521 Operations and Strategic Supply Chain Management
This unit is concerned with the design, planning and improvement of an organisation's systems or processes involved in the production of goods and services. It provides a broad introduction to operations management and develops an appreciation of the critical need for effective operations management.
MGMT5501 Organisational Behaviour
This unit focuses on individual and group behaviour in organisations. Topics may include personality and behaviour; personal performance and stress; decision-making skills; managing power, politics and conflict; team and group dynamics; gender and diversity issues; and interpersonal and group communication.
