Scholarships and fees (MBA Full Time)

We offer a suite of scholarships to assist MBA Full Time students with the transition into study.

All applicants who accept their offer into the MBA Full Time are automatically considered for a suite of scholarships. To be considered, applicants must submit a full application (including valid GMAT score) by 1 November 2017.

All scholarships will be finalised by the end of November.

Listed below are the scholarships which were awarded in 2018:

BHP Billiton MBA Full Time Scholarships*
  • One scholarship valued at $60,000
  • Five scholarships valued at $35,400
  • Three scholarships valued at $32,000
  • Two scholarships valued at $18,000
Clough MBA Scholarship
  • One scholarship, valued at $20,000
  • Preference will be given to a student with an engineering background
  • The recipient may be provided with a two-year work contract opportunity at Clough Projects.
Smith-Gander MBA Scholarship
  • One scholarship, valued at $20,000
  • Preference will be given to a female student.
MBA Full Time Dean's Awards
  • Three scholarships are available, each valued at $30,000 (towards tuition fees)
MBA Full Time Dean's Alumni Award
  • One scholarship is available, valued at $30,000 (towards tuition fees)
  • This award is reserved for UWA Alumni.
UWA MBA International Fee Waiver Scholarship
  • Ten full fee waiver scholarships are available to international students who achieve a GMAT score of 680 or higher.
 

* All current BHP Billiton employees and contractors are ineligible to receive a BHP Billiton Scholarship in the UWA Business School.

Fees

The total course fee for the MBA Full Time Intensive in 2017 is AUD $71,000 for domestic and international students.

Australian students

Consistent with provisions in the Higher Education Support Act 2003, all Commonwealth-supported students have access to Higher Education Loan Programs (HELP). FEE-HELP is a loan to assist eligible full fee-paying students pay their tuition fees at public and eligible private higher education providers. Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas are eligible to take out an interest-free loan through the FEE-HELP scheme to cover the tuition fee for undertaking an MBA at UWA.

A first round of scholarships and awards are granted at the close of Round 2 (usually July). All remaining scholarships and awards are granted in early November. Applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of the scholarship selection process as soon as possible.

All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the MBA Director, whose decision is final.

Female candidates are encouraged to apply for the MBA Full Time Intensive, with certain scholarships reserved for women.

We recommend that you should not apply for the MBA Full Time Intensive unless you are self-funded or company sponsored.

Mining Leaders Scholarship
  • Two scholarships, valued at up to $15,000, are open to MBA students with an interest in the resources and/or mining sectors.
  • All candidates are required to complete an application prior to the advertised closing date.
  • Generously funded by Ausenco, Resource Capital Funds, St Barbara Limited and Trafigura.
David Mack Indigenous Postgraduate Scholarship
  • Two scholarships, each valued at $50,000, are available.
  • All Australian Indigenous MBA Full Time Intensive candidates will automatically be considered for these scholarships.
Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships
  • Valued at up to $118,000, these scholarships are offered by the Australian government.
  • Internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships that support students from around the world to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.
Paul Wilson Memorial Award
  • One scholarship of $7,000
  • Available to applicants with professional engineering or science experience in the mining industry
