The MBA is designed for those with a first degree who seek to enhance their management capabilities.

The intent of the MBA is to expose you to the full range of management functional areas to provide you with the relevant skills and a conceptual framework which you may later reinforce with further on-the-job management experience.

Course structure

The MBA comprises 12 units, including:

Seven compulsory core management units designed to bring all students to a common level of knowledge in the fundamental areas of management, irrespective of their background or experience.

• MGMT8502 Accounting
• MGMT8503 Economic Management and Strategy
• MGMT8506 Ethical Dimensions of Organisations, Management and Leadership (this may be substituted for MGMT8500 Management of Organisations)
• MGMT8530 Managerial Finance
• MGMT8550 Marketing Principles
• MGMT8501 Organisational Behaviour
• *MGMT8504 Data Analysis and Decision Making

*All students are required to complete this unit unless they are able to demonstrate a proficiency in statistics  either through previous study or a prescribed test.   If approved, these students will be allowed to substitute this unit with an elective unit.
