The Master of Economics (MEc) course is designed for people who plan a career as economic researchers and decision makers in the public service and private sector.

You can complete a research project under the supervision of a staff member.

The coursework degree is likely to be useful to people employed by the public service and private enterprise, as well as to teachers in schools who already have a Bachelor of Economics degree and who seek to improve their professional qualifications by postgraduate studies.

Admission requirements

An undergraduate degree with a major in Economics with a weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent of this University or equivalent degree from another tertiary institution, as recognised by the Faculty.

a Graduate Diploma in Economics and a weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent.
