This preliminary program prepares students for entry into either a PhD or DBA.

Course structure

The five units that comprise the coursework are:

MGMT8791 Business Research: Principles and Processes
MGMT8792 Qualitative Methods in Business Research
MGMT8793 Quantitative Methods in Business Research
MGMT8794 Literature Review and Criticism
MGMT8795 DBA Proposal and Defence

A minimum mark of 65 per cent in each of the five units will be required to be admitted to the DBA program. Students will be required to defend their research proposal before an academic panel.

Students who complete the requirements of the Master of Business Research with a minimum mark of 50 percent in each of the units will be awarded the degree.

Admission requirements

Domestic and International students

An undergraduate degree in the field of business or cognate area
or
a postgraduate qualification in the area of business or cognate area
and
substantial and appropriate professional experience.
