Sharon K. Parker is a Winthrop Professor at the UWA Business School, University of Western Australia. Sharon is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. She is also an Honorary Professor at the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield, where she was a previously the Director. Professor Parker is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology and a past and present member of several other editorial boards. She is a representative-at-large for the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management, and is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and the Academy of Management.

Professor Parker has published several books, including a Sage publication on job and work design, over 40 refereed journal articles, 35 book chapters, and numerous technical and practitioner publications. She has carried out consulting in a wide range of public and private sector organizations, and has generated over $3 million worth of research funding.
